 Release to PROD Date: 3/20/2025

Improved "X" Stamp Experience!
We've received a lot of feedback from courts asking for an improved experience when placing "x" stamps on documents. With this update, you will now see the "X" immediately as you hover over a document. You will no longer need to click and drag (and hope that you placed the x in the desired location).

Idea Submission by: 17th District Court (Redford) and voted up by many others (and raised outside of the ideas portal during several court visits).

Emergency Filings Flag
Filers now have the ability to indicate if their bundle is considered an emergency that should be given higher prioritization when processed by the court. When flagged, courts will see an "emergency" value in the special handling/priority column of their inboxes, and these items will be prioritized just below anything that has been flagged "ex parte," where applicable.

The following message is surfaced to filers when hovering over the "emergency" checkbox in TrueFiling: "Only check this box if one or more of your filings is an emergency that is supported by law or court rule. The clerk of the court will determine whether or not your filings are considered emergency filings.

Court users now have access to a new "Change Priority" task in the ribbon. When reviewing a bundle that has been marked as an emergency, this task can be used to remove the emergency flag and deprioritize the bundle accordingly, if/when desired.

Here are some screenshots to help visualize the update:

Filers will now see this in the upper right corner of the bundle assembly page in TrueFiling:

Here is where that value will appear in your inbox, along with the task that can be used to toggle the "emergency" flag:

Idea Submitted by: Oakland Probate Court during onboarding engagements.

Document Catalog Update (District Courts): Update and Expansion of "Consent Order for Conditional Dismissal"
We are updating the existing "Consent Order for Conditional Dismissal" document catalog entry so that the description is more generic (no longer references landlord-tenant proceedings specifically), and we're expanding it to be available in General Civil cases.

Idea Submitted by: 92-1 District Court (Luce) and voted up by many courts.

JusticeTech Notifications Tab Update - Recipient Format Validation
In JusticeTech, there is a Notifications Tab used to identify recipients for certain types of events. If email addresses weren't listed properly (with the right delimiters), it would result in some users not being notified as expected. We've added a validation to this area to ensure that everything is entered accurately so that everyone gets notified as expected.

This is the impacted screen below in JusticeTech:
