DCS/WebDCS - Partial Resolution to Issues Post 12/19/24 Maintenance for ePay and GarnIT Applications

Posted by JIS Service Desk on December 20, 2024 at 3:40 PM

Attention DCS Courts with ePay and GarnIT Applications

    12/20/2024 UPDATE #2

The issue we notified you about earlier today is partially resolved. Transactions successfully accepted are now flowing through as expected.

JIS has evidence, however, of several ePay transactions at different court locations since yesterday that were accepted by the ePay application, but which did not successfully process into DCS. Thus, we advise all ePay courts to do the following:

    • 1 – Check for any Web Exception Records via the Web File Inquiry and Update screen that may need to be resubmitted.
    • 2 – Use your CEPAS/PayPoint accounts to review transactions yesterday and today to confirm payments have completely processed into the DCS application. Any that have not processed will need to be manually rung by the court.

JIS will also reach out to the impacted ePay court administrators individually on Monday, December 23, 2024 with a Service Desk Incident ticket, listing cases to review for accepted payments in PayPoint.

JIS is actively working to restore the complete functionality of the applications. We will provide a further update when conditions warrant.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused for you and your customers. Thank you for your patience as we work through this issue.

DCS Caseload Report Reminder - December 2024

Posted by JIS Service Desk on December 13, 2024 at 9:45 AM

    All JIS DCS Courts:

The end of the year is fast approaching! JIS encourages courts to begin running the caseload report in your application to review the data and correct any errors to ensure the data is accurate prior to uploading/syncing and verifying the report in MCAP in January.

In preparation for submitting your caseload report, we recommend you read through Knowledge Article 11496: DCS/WebDCS - Preparing Caseload and Delay in Criminal Proceedings with a Change in Judge. Key points of discussion in this article include:

    • This document is intended for District Court System (DCS) courts with a new judge taking the bench in January.
    • The DCS annual Caseload Report does not account for Judge of Record “as of” a certain date.
    • The court’s annual Caseload Report and 4th Quarter Delay in Criminal Proceedings Report must be submitted to the SCAO Michigan Court Application Portal (MCAP), Caseload Reporting System (CRS) and Delay in Criminal Proceedings (DCP) applications before all the open files can be reassigned to a new judge.
